Key Objectives Public Safety Developing a proactive Police Dept with key teams to focus on critical problem areas while maintaining staffing levels at the highest possible levels. Support Community Action Patrol, Resource Officers and other important community programs that interface with key components of our community. Develop a Drug/Gang Task Force to fight against gang and drug influences in our community. Support increase in Fire Dept staffing to provide the highest levels of safety to our Fire Personnel while providing the greatest level of service to our citizens. Provide all Public Safety personnel with the latest technology to aid in safety and efficiency. Roads/Transportation Aggressively pursue funding and planning to develop an intricate system of regional infrastructure to serve the needs of our citizens and businesses. Support the development of transportation solutions to ease congestion on our regional road system. Aggressively support enforcement of traffic laws to maintain safe roads for Temecula's residents. Economic Development Support Economic Development efforts to attract and retain high-paying jobs in the region. Support regional partnerships that provide better jobs-to-housing balance. Youth Activities/Issues Form a Task Force to address Youth/Teen issues, activities and programs/infrastructure. Work to develop a Teen Village. Support development of public/private partnerships that provide teen activities. Develop and expand recreational activities and programs for Temecula's youth.
