Temecula Achievement Program (T.A.P.)

Goals:    

  • To foster a love of community and become more engaged in its workings.
  • To learn local history.
  • Learn the value of service and bonding to one’s community.

Requirements to earn this patch: 

  1. Be able to answer five specific questions about Temecula.
    1. What does the Indian word “Temecula” mean?
    2. Who were the first settlers?
    3. What year was the City incorporated?
    4. Where can residents go to see plays or concerts?
    5. Who is the Mayor and City Council Members?  
  2. Visit the History Museum.  (staff signature required)  
  3. Visit the Children’s Museum.  (staff signature required)  
  4. Visit a fire station.  (staff signature required)  
  5. Watch the City Hall Video Tour (video below).
  6. Perform 1½ hours of community service.
  7. Write a 50-word essay describing “What I like about Temecula or What I would change about Temecula.”
  8. The Application is completed with a signature by a parent or guardian.
