Welcome to the Temecula Police Department’s website. The men and women of the Police Department are honored to be working as members of your Community.
We enjoy a very low violent crime rate in Temecula and my goal as your Chief of Police is to continue to address the primary issues that face our City. These issues include juvenile crime, traffic, and technology crime. Forty-Two percent of Temecula’s households were reported to have children under the age of 18. My plan is to reach these children early, and provide education and prevention programs in order to promote traffic safety and deter the gang influence, substance abuse, and theft. Traffic will continue to be a priority as the City grows, and I will ensure that the Temecula Police Department continue to both educate our drivers and enforce traffic laws. I will continue to implement cutting edge training and technology solutions in order to maintain public safety and to detect and deter identity theft and other technology crime.
My overall primary focus will be to maintain the high quality of life at our City while striving to keep the criminal element out. I believe collaborative relationships with City officials, community members and the school district are crucial, because crime prevention is a complex process, which involves the support of everyone.
I have also been a longtime resident of Temecula, and appreciate first-hand the excellent quality of life that makes our community a great place to live and work. I have twenty one years of experience working for the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department and have gained valuable leadership experience working with various contract Cities and administrative departments. During this time, I also attended the FBI National Academy as well as California’s Command College, gaining valuable hands on law enforcement knowledge. I hope to take this knowledge and experience forward and use it to benefit all aspects of our law enforcement service to the community.
