The mission of Redevelopment is to eliminate such conditions of blight by:
- Providing needed public improvements;
- Encouraging rehabilitation and repair of deteriorated structures;
- Facilitating land assembly and development which will result in employment opportunities;
- Expanding the tax base; and
- Improving and/or increasing the housing stock for Temecula’s residents.
Dear Citizens,
Projects sponsored by the Temecula Redevelopment Agency do not result in increased tax rates for residents of Temecula.
Landowners within the RDA area, as would any property owner, pay increased property taxes as the value of their property increases due to improvements sponsored by the RDA. The RDA as a result of these projects imposes no additional taxes.
In fact, RDA enables existing property taxes to be retained and reinvested back into the redevelopment area rather than being spent elsewhere in the county.
