E-Waste can not be disposed of in the trash.
CR&R, Inc. will accept e-waste as a bulky item pick up for residents only. City of Temecula residents are allowed two FREE bulky item pick-ups annually. Please contact CR&R at (800) 755-8112 to arrange for a pick up.
Businesses and residents can contact Clean Earth Recycling for free pick up of all types of unwanted e-waste and electronics. Call Clean Earth Recycling at 888-693-2925 to arrange for pick up at your home or business. When calling for an electronic or e-waste pick up please be prepared to provide a phone number and major cross street. Clean Earth Recycling will schedule pick ups every 3rd Friday of the month from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. The resident does not need to be home on the date and time of the pick up.
Items that can no longer go into the trash with disposal options:
Household Batteries – (A, AA, AAA, C, D, 9-volt and button type batteries)
- A “Big Green Box” is located at City Hall on Business Park Drive; the Community Recreation Center on Rancho Vista Road; Mary Phillips Senior Center on 6th Street; Temecula Community Center on Pujol Street and both Libraries on Pauba and County Center Drive.
- City of Temecula’s City Wide Clean Up held at Chaparral High School. For more information contact Janet Kitchel at (951) 694-6480.
- Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse in Temecula and Murrieta.
- Riverside County ABOP every Saturday from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm located at 25315 Jefferson in Murrieta (near Murrieta Hot Springs Road). Only 5 gallons of liquid waste or a total of 50 lbs max. per car. Liquid shall be in secured and marked containers.
Electronic Devices - calculators, radios and phones
- Small items like cell phones, calculators and PDF’s can be collected in the Big Green Box located at City Hall on Business Park Drive; the Community Recreation Center on Rancho Vista Road; Mary Phillips Senior Center on 6th Street; Temecula Community Center on Pujol Street and both Libraries on Pauba Road and County Center Drive.
- Riverside County’s Mobile Household Hazardous Waste Collection will be held at Temecula City Hall located at 43200 Business Park Drive, Temecula future dates to be determined. For more information please call (800) 366-7283. Only 5 gallons of liquid waste or a total of 50 lbs max. per car. Liquid shall be in secured and marked containers.
E-Waste – computers, monitors, televisions, DVD / CD players, printers and scanners
- CR&R will collect e-waste as part of the bulky item pick up service provided to residents. City of Temecula residents are allowed two FREE bulky item pick-ups annually. Call (800)755-8112 to arrange an immediate pickup.
- Clean Earth Recycling provides a free pick up service for all e-waste, and electronics. This service is provided for both businesses and residents. Please contact Clean Earth at (888) 693-2925 to arrange a pick up. Be prepared to leave a contact phone number as well as major cross streets. Clean Earth arranges for pick ups in Temecula on the third Friday of every month only.
